Cats, crickets, politics and baseball

We have a cat named "Jinx". I currently see him upon a desk and looking out an open window. He'll often lunge his paw at something and get his claw caught in the screen. When he does this, he'll often turn and look at me as if to say, "I'm retarded. I've done it again. Can you please help me out of this mess?" Mind you, I used to rush to his aid but now days...I must admit that I make him wait a bit. I want him to feel stupid. I want him to feel the shaking of my disapproving head. As I finally meander to the window and yank his claw from the wire mesh, I want him to say, "I'm a dumb cat and you're my god. Thank you, oh remover of claw entanglement!"

But he just gives me attitude.

I need a dog.

Speaking of my window, I can hear a plethora of crickets singing tonight. I love the sound of crickets. It's very soothing. However, I hate the sound of only one cricket within my house. I think I'm about to say the most profound thing I've ever said: Crickets are meant to be in a choir -- they are not soloists.

On to a bit of politics, I'm already tired of Hillary and Obama. Linking arms with blacks and marching through the streets is so last century. In a conversation with Stewdog today, I think I may have coined the campaign slogan of 2008 -- "It's Rudy, Stupid!"

Driving in my car today I heard the crack of a bat on the radio...ah that was good. If God could give me an everlasting moment, I'd wish to be forever racing across trimmed grass to snag that ball hit into the gap...

Put me in coach! I'm ready to play!

Peace out.

Geez, WD. What is that in the first couple of frames? Some bit of porn? Feh. Ruins an otherwise excellent tribute to the only game that matters.

Remember Hoss the cat? He once got his claw stuck in his own tail after having chased and "caught" his tail. He kept meowing and hissing at his own claw until the brave Sadeeq went to his rescue.

CIV, apologies on those disturbing first frames. Yikes! I have no idea...But if you'll ignore it, I will too. Yeesh.

KM, I remember Hoss. Remember sleeping at your Boston pad and being paid a visit from that gargantuan feline in the middle of the night. "Please don't hurt me" is what I believe I uttered.
