Word of the Day -- Alacrity

Thanks to everyone who dared to take the Word of the Day challenge!

Alacrity means promptness in response or cheerful readiness and we have two sentences for your enjoyment.

The first comes from our own Stewdog.
"My wonder cat Gizmo exhibited great alacrity when I opened a new bag of cat food."

This sentence comes from New Victorian.
"When tasked with testing the pastries for freshness, Tom went about his duties with alacrity."

Be sure to challenge your mind and check out the new Word of the Day!

And teens almost never do with alacrity what their parents ask of them.

I'm sorry to say, Scotty, that while you do get a bit of a break between the terrible twos and the terrible teens, those terrible year seem to last forever.
