Word of the Day - Bloviate
Thanks to everyone who dared to challenge their mind!
Bloviate means to speak in a pompous or overbearing way. Some here at Rumpus have even been accused of bloviating.
This sentence came from our friend Conservative in Virginia --
"Conservative in VA has been accused by certain young whippersnappers of bloviating them into oblivion, especially when talking about "when I was your age..."
This came from David Epstein --
"If the Wright brothers had chosen to bloviate, and not aviate, would we be floating on clouds of rhetoric today?"
And last but not least from our own Wonderdog --
"Senator Kennedy was arrested yesterday for bloviating under the influence."
Thanks and check out the new Word of the Day!
