First Xmas And Now Xoween
A school in Newton, Mass, a bastion of liberalism, has cancelled Halloween at school after three parents complained that it offended their religious beliefs.
Now *that* is scary.

SD, I read that article yesterday and noticed that the reporter did not mention WHAT religious beliefs were dissed by Halloween. Methinks that is an intentional oversight that might lead one to assume it was those Bible thumping Christians (in Boston?) that caused the ruckus. But CIV has a friend who lived many years in Boston. This friend said it was the Wiccans at her daughter's school who objected to the school not respecting their "holy" day of Halloween.
CIV, brilliant minds do think alike. After I read the article, I emailed the author as follows:
"Matt, I picked up that story of yours off of Drudge. I was looking for the who, what, when, where, why of journalism, but you left me hanging.
Three parents complained that Halloween offended their religious beliefs. WHAT religous beliefs? Were they wiccans? Christians? Jews? I think that is the key to the story that you left out."
