Just Plain Chicken***t

Waldenbooks and Borders have refused to stock the April/May edition of Free Inquiry Magazine. Why? It contains some of the infamous cartoons that have touched off riots.
Freedom of the Press isn't free if the means of distribution won't allow dissemination of free ideas.
Very disappointing.

What are they afraid of? Do they have outlets in Arab or Muslim countries? The big boys at the newspapers have their foreign correspondents to think of, but Borders? Waldenbooks? Are the crazies who riot big purchasers of books? Do they fear a boycott?

Certainly they aren't worried about riots and such in the US, are they?

Oh, and if they offer the lame excuse of not wanting to offend anyone, then I will be happy to give them a LONG list of stuff they sell that offends ME.
