Back On The Road Again

Stewdog and Templeton Peck hope to visit every MLB ballpark to see their beloved St. Louis Cardinals. They have been to Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium, taken many trips to Dodger Stadium, and today they add another smear of pine tar to their bats. In Jack Kerowac fashion, they will be "On The Road" to Petco Park in San Diego to check out that park and see the Cards try to right their ship. Life is good.

I just went to the mlb.com web site. Good grief. It has been so long since I paid attention to baseball, I didn't even know that they added Central to the East/West division!

Looking at the standings, it doesn't seem likely that SD and TP will be heading out this way to watch the Cards play the Nats in play-offs or the Birds in the World Series. But the season is still young.

Funny you should mention that CIV...as the Stewdog and I have already starting the planning of a trip to your neck of the woods as we have a good friend in DC who could put us up....we are determined to reach our goal, so stay tuned for a trip there in the next year or two!

Update: Great day, super company, great ballpark, outstanding seats, and a Cardinal win when their catcher picked off a runner from first to end the game.
Life is good.

SD, did you take a photo? Wouldn't it be cool to have a shot of the field and/or the scoreboard at each park and photoblog your way across the country? Perhaps it could later be turned into a coffee table book.
