Fond Ford Farewell

President Gerald Ford is dead at 93. He always seemed to me to be the most real and genuine of the presidents of my time. His family looked a lot like mine. He was a decent man. He was a great college football player at Michigan. He came to the White Houe as VP because of Agnew's resignation and became president because of Nixon's resignation. He did the right thing in pardoning Nixon and starting the process of getting Watergate behind us, but that act, along with the nation's desire to rid itself of all things Watergate and Republican, led to his defeat at the hands of Ji#*y C*$%er.
