Well...that's the great thing about America isn't it?...Anyone has the right to say whatever they want, even if it's verbal suicide.
I know I'm going to get in trouble for this, but what the heck, we only have about 6 readers, and what's the worst that could happen -- John Edwards fires me from his campaign? So, while I certainly think that what Hardaway said was stupid and hateful, I just can't get myself to care all that much. Am I supposed to believe he's worse than a host of other unsavory or actually criminal characters who get rousing ovations when they take the field or the court?
And *now* it's okay to be unapologetically negative about Paris Hilton? But in the years of her ascendance as the patron saint of "stupid spoiled whores" (to borrow a phrase from South Park) I couldn't complain about her without being worried about the whiff of prudery in my complaints?
(And no, for the record, I'm not condoning or excusing the idiot Hilton's racism . . . I'm just saying I never *could* stand her in the first place.)

This just in. The media has issued a major retraction and correction in news stories. BRITTNEY is dead and ANNA NICOLE shaved her head. They apologize for the inconvenience.
