The only thing that really strikes me here is that Madison was the third most popular name for girls last year. Multiple viewings of Splash must account for this.

How come the most popular boys' names seems to stay more consistently traditional than the most popular girls' names? The same names seem to stay in vogue longer among boys (e.g. Michael).
Because girls are made of snips and snails and puppydog tails.
Woohoo! "Moo Cow" isn't taken.
